Apple Week

We have had a fun filled week learning with apples. We graphed with apples, made patterns with apples, and even made apple sauce for our snack! The kids really enjoyed our apple week. I want to thank you all again for bring apples to share in our classroom snack! The Mid-Prairie Middle School Band also paid us visit today, the kids loved it!

PLEASE be on the look out for Friday folders, there is a important conference form in there for you to fill out and return by Tuesday.

Have a great weekend!

Marble Jar!

We filled our Marble Jar! This is one of our classroom behavior management tools. When the kids are caught doing something respectful, responsible, and safe we put a marble in the jar. Once it is filled with 10 marbles we have a class reward. Today the class chose to watch a PBS kids video! They were so excited.

Homecoming Week!

Wow! What a fun week! We were so busy enjoying all of our dress up days that we forgot our Red, White, and Blue day picture and Dot day. But we made sure to get all the other days! We also learned about the kissing hand this week and made some really cute friends for our wall!

Friday folders go home today with some really important notes in it, please be sure to check those out. We are starting apple theme next week, please look at our note for details. Thanks for always supporting your kiddos to be the best they can be!

Have a happy and safe weekend!

Milk Clarification

Hello Everyone,
I wanted to make sure that everyone was on the same page as it goes for snack time milk. It is an option for students to have milk at snack, that will be charged to their lunch accounts. We only have white milk and at parents request if they would prefer that their child not have milk at snack to let me know. I have a list of students who do not receive milk at snack and that is completely fine! If you have already talked to me than I have your child on the list.

I know that there is always a lot of information that goes home and this is something that is easily missed. So please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding snack time.

Thank You!

Jolly Phonics

Hello Everyone,
We are now working on our 11th sound in Jolly Phonics. That is a lot of information for our kiddos to learn in just 11 days of school. I ask you to please practice all the sounds, songs, and actions on a nightly basis, possibly make as part of your week night routine. We are learning new sounds everyday and in the future these sounds will build off of each other and effect both reading and writing. We check our sounds on a daily basis and monitor how we are doing on the sounds. Practice makes best :-) Thank you for your help on the overall learning process of Jolly Phonics!

REMINDERS FOR FRIDAY

Hello Everyone!
I wanted to give you some reminders for Fridays in general and  9/11.

Picture Day is tomorrow! If you haven't and are wanting to purchase pictures for your child a picture form was send home last week, please fill out and return with your child TOMORROW!!!

We have a PBIS Assembly every Friday starting at 8:20. It would be great if your child can get her by 8:15 to complete jobs and come in with our class.

I would also like to let everyone know that students can enter the building at 8:05 every morning. Our school day starts at 8:25. I encourage your child to come at school by 8:15 so they can complete daily jobs and enjoy some free time with friends before our day starts. Your child will be counted as Tardy if they are here after 8:25.

Every Friday we send home Red Friday Folders that have parent information inside. Please make and effort to check these and take papers out. This next week is Homecoming, we have special days of dress planned so look for a paper explaining those special days.

Thanks again for another great week...wow this was a fast one with only 4 days! Looking forward to a fun full week next week with homecoming!

Thanks!

Snacks

Hello Everyone!
I wanted to drop a quick note on bring treats and snacks to school. Our district has adopted a policy that only allows pre-packaged food items, healthy snacks not cut,  and or items from a certified kitchen with an ingredient list. This is for the safety of all our students with health issues or concerns. We are also keeping our room completely nut and peanut free, as we do have some allergies.  This year as of now we have 22 students in our class. Thank you for your cooperation and please let me know if you have any questions.

Here is a certified home kitchen in our area.
