Long Term Sub Information!

Hi All!
I sent a note home last night but I know how papers can get all mixed up when kiddos get home. But here is just another reminder of my long term sub information.
Have a Great Thanksgiving!

With baby day fast approaching Terry Kalm will be taking over the class for 8 weeks. With this she has a temporary Mid-Prairie e-mail that you will be able to use to contact her.  She will also still continue to use the blog for main form of communication. Looking forward to this exciting adventure and thank you all for your support.

NOTE: This e-mail will not become active until I am on maternity leave.

Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ms. Pam came this week to share Thanksgiving stories about animals that lived so long ago.
This week we had lots of fun learning about Thanksgiving and all the importance that goes along with being thankful and making sacrifices. Your kids did an awesome job with understanding the true meaning of Thanksgiving besides the YUMMY FOOD! We had a feast with Mrs. Billups class. Our class were the Native Americans and her class were the Pilgrims. The kids had a great time experiencing a feast that took place so long ago.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families and enjoy your time together. Again I Thank You all for you support in your child's learning.

Here are some fun pictures from the week!

National Readers Week

We had a very busy week with National Readers week. We also had Veterans Day and a PBIS reward!
Our Veterans Day assembly had a special tie to our class as it was one of our students grandparents. Thank you for all your support!

We are continuing to learn our tricky words so please watch for them to come home everyday. You and your child are responsible for putting the new word on the ring with them when they bring it home. Helps us all to remember to practice! :-)
Also writing homework is still working through our class list, if your child has not received it yet it will be coming very soon! The directions are in the bags that come with it.

This week we will be discussing Thanksgiving and start preparing for our kindergarten feast next week with Mrs. Billups class. Also thank you to all your sweet kids on the birthday wishes on Friday. They were certain we were dressing up for my birthday...I promised them it was not for me! :-)

Here are some pictures from our fun filled week!

Fun fall week!

We had a fun week enjoying all things about fall! We had a special visitor Ms. Pam from the Washington County Conservation Center. She will be coming to our classrooms about once a month to share information about animals, plants and our overall environment. This visit she talked about owls and then kids loved it!

We also enjoyed making some fall pumpkin chocolate cookies for our fall party, kids loved them! Candy corn was a BIG hit also. We played candy corn math and of course we got to eat after we filled out candy corn baskets.

Please remember to bring back our yellow report card envelope.

This week we will also be making a veterans day craft to take to the VA Hospital and to the high school for a Veterans Lunch. It is so great to get the kids involved in our community and brighten someone's day! Students are encouraged to wear Red White and Blue to support our Veterans on Wednesday as well!

Friday this week we will be having a school wide reward where students get to dress like their favorite book character! Our class is also welcome to bring their favorite book to go with there character to have during DEAR time.
